As I think I have mentioned before, I have been involved with Childrens Hospital Los Angeles for almost a decade. In that time, I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing people. One of those people is a little boy named Max Page. You might all know him better as the star of the famous VW Superbowl commercial where he stared as little Darth Vader.

Max has been a patient at CHLA many times in his short 8 years and is currently undergoing yet another heart surgery. He and his family are Co-Chairing the Ambassador Program at CHLA that my family is involved with and that is how I have gotten to know the Page family. They are some of the most philanthropic people I know and have used their situation and celebrity to the benefit of others time and time again.

Jennifer, Max’s mom sent us an email a few weeks back and the Today show yesterday covered what was in that email and I wanted to share it with you here. (Click the link below to see their story)

Hearing about Max’s “Can Do List” beyond warmed my heart. Focusing on what we can do, makes us feel more purposeful and wise Max knows this at the ripe old age of 8. The more we choose to see how capable we are of helping others the more inspired we become to make our world a better place.

Thank you Max and Page family for inspiring us all with the “Force” of Can Do. Charity Matters.
